The timing was fortuitous as the coronavirus pandemic hit soon after and the new pharmacy allowed residents to stay close to home to fill prescriptions and get the vaccines when they became available.
Chesapeake Rx committed to being a “neighborhood pharmacy,” providing all the same items and services as major competitors but with hometown service. The area had not had a pharmacy in the vicinity for nearly 25 years. It opened Chesapeake Rx on Bainbridge Boulevard in January 2020.
